Snca-deficient mice are viable and fertile, possess intact brain architecture but exhibit decreased striatal dopamin content and amphetamine sensitivity (PubMed:10707987). Simultaneous knockout of SNCA, SNCB and SNCG exhibit an age-dependent decrease in SNARE-complex assembly.
